Election Day folks. It's time to vote for the Real Conservative in the race who will uphold our 2nd amnendment rights, Ted Cruz!
Plus, Trump donated 50k to Rahm. That says all you need to know about Donald. He's a wolf in sheep's clothing.
"But we should note that Trump donated $50,000 to Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel in 2010, as well as over $25,000 more to other Cook County Democrats, among other donations that he’s made on the local level. (Trump has made his presence known in the Windy City.)"

Our prayers for the officers, and their families, for their exceptional bravery and dedication to duty. Best wishes for a speedy recovery. Conversely shame on Rahmn Emmanuel for releasing a prepared statement instead of a live interview but getting in on a photo-op (Chgo. Trib. on line) shaking hands at the hospital. If he was interviewed he might be questioned about why the police were overwhelmed at the Trump Rally. He has spent years depleting police personnel, police resources and vilifying the police to his own political advantage. He never takes questions when there is a problem. He is the man behind the curtain, the Wizard of Oz!

Apparently BLM did not matter to even this fool let alone the rest of the world. Chicago values. FUCK YOU RAHM you little simpleton. Too bad a DOJ super person was not on that job. Let us be the Police. Gang bangers and drug dealers do not and should not expect to receive fair treatment. Unfortunately, this will happen again as long as these POS'S feel they can wreak havoc on Chicago with no consequences. Thank God they got rid of this scum before the Crook County judicial system let him free on home monitoring. Can't wait to see his background. Dispatchers down at oemc are the best of the best, just ask them! The illustrious training department ensures only the finest candidates are selected, and the training is exacting.

How dare you say that! It's not like trainers are giving people the answers to the tests so they make sure a certain demographic can pass training..

Hey Sparky, next time you post a link you just might want to actually READ what that link goes to. But to save you some time, here's a snippet from the article:

>>> Trump has actually been relatively evenhanded in doling out cash to the two parties, but since 1989, he’s contributed over $350,000 more to Republicans running for federal and state offices ... Data from the Federal Election Commission and state elections offices provided by the two websites show that Trump has given $584,850 to Democrats and $961,140 to the GOP over the last 26 years. ... Since 2012, Trump has donated $463,450 to Republicans and just $3,500 to Democrats. <<<

Last but not least, it's apparent you do NOT know how Business works, especially Real Estate Development and High Rise Building Construction. The sad fact is that you HAVE TO 'donate' to whomever is running the city, county, whatever you want to build in. Is it 'bribery', well...not exactly, but its required to get the skids greased and your project approved. You can also disagree with that person 100%, wouldn't have a cup of coffee with them, but that's all irrelevant -- It's BUSINESS, nothing more.

Ergo, Trump donating to Tiny Dancer, whoopee, means nothing. Trump got his building built now didn't he.

Was just at the polling place voting on the NW side. I was the only person casting a vote. The largest turnout ever for a primary was 53% of the registered voters. Remember that less than 1/2 of the persons who could be registered are actually registered. Give that a thought. Possibly less than a third of persons who can vote place these politicians in office over and over again. We are all calling for a change, want something done with the pensions, etc. No matter who it is that you may support, please take the time to cast your vote. It is the most important thing that you can do. Get to the polls and vote. Commenting on the blog isn't nearly enough. Get everyone in your family out also.

Now that we know the Officers will be well, we can ask the questions IPRA and the Feds will ask: since three Officers had contact with the deceased, since his bullets hit three of the Officers, does that mean 3 ISR reports, or just 1 report required? Also, when Rahm showed up at the hospital, which was in and of itself bullshit, like he really cares about cops; did Rahm ask if the Officers looked into the eyes of the deceased to see if he was a poet or artist? Also,if Rahm's pothead kid had shot three Officers, would he have been treated differently, and not shot to death? Black Lives Matter wants to know. Is this another Ferguson, cops defend themselves, felon dies? Get Well my Brothers, and the rest of you Stay Fetal, Stay Fetal! Baby"G"

Remember when they said the criteria they're using to civilianize inside officers?
"If you don't need a gun and a badge" to do your job then you should be working the street and your spot filled by a civilian.

Yes, that is correct. No gunshot is minor. That bullet causes a lot of damage and a lot of it can never be repaired: tendons, muscles, nerves, if nothing else. You will never be whole again and will always have some residual pain and discomfort and loss of mobility and use.

Not defending the dispatcher but, she seemed to me to be trying her best to help the situation. Strees is a bitch.
I blame this cheap ass city. No dispatcher should be on the hotter zones until a minimum of 2-3 years on slower zones.

There should be tighter controls at OEMC, cutting out all the shucking and jiving going on in the dispatch room.
All the clowning shouldn't be hsppening.

Fetalness or not, after shooting the police that area should be locked down.
Checking for outstanding warrants and checking those addresses, disrupting bidness,
doing old school policing.

Ch 9 news interviewed a neighbor who said that she didn't blame the boys for shooting because the way that the police are you have to defend yourself. You can't win with this mentality.

3/15/2016 12:02:00 PM

Yes, it was politically expedient to turn the masses against us. And it was financially lucrative for the media to lead each news cycle demonizing the police (and retracting, editing or withdrawing the overblown claims later on).

And now, we're not damned if we do, we're damned BEFORE we do - - - anything at all.

With the summer coming and the violent political contests erupting, this is going to be a year for the ages. Be VERY, VERY careful out there, careful about your social media use and careful who you trust.

Another BULLSHIT post.

There NO federal obligations.

95 million is a drop in the bucket.

If you were at the meeting today Hauser said the city sent a partial payment already this year of 179 million. The total amount is not due until 31 Dec 16.

why not get your little self to the meeting and ask the question at the mic?

Wishing all the officers a speedy recovery. As for the replay of the radio traffic I will say a few things. To the original officers on scene who initially called this in you did great. Very calm, clear and professional. To everyone else who was not involved in the shooting do us all a favor... Shut up!!! Why does everyone have to get on the air and scream and start giving orders, infact screaming orders on the air. I'm not talking just about supervisors I'm talking about sgts and P.Os. Keep the air clear and stop trying to come up with great ideas. It's typical know it all coppers who think they know the most and know what to do in a shooting and they are gonna bark at other people... If you want cars moved them say it.. Don't yell and scream on the air to move cars and curse about it. If you need a particular beat car moved them shout it out to the coppers on the scene... It moves faster plus everyone on the watch knows exactly what other coppers are in what best cars. One person take charge and let them talk on the radio. The bad guy was dead, stop trying to play radio hero. Communicate on the ground with your fellow officers, have a supervisor tell everyone to slow down and don't come to the scene enough people just line the route to the hospital if you wanna help.. Instead 8 officer and 4 different supervisors are all screaming into the radio. I know it's a terrible situation and is intense.. I've been there and done that. I've been involved in very intense police shootings where my partners have been shot it's crazy but just stay calm and don't try to be the boss if you were not there and are not a boss. Too many pos trying to show everyone that they can be supervisors and are real go getters. Just stop. Know your role and stay off the radio! End rant, get well officers and I'm not knocking anyone who went to help, I'm sure it will be taken that way just trust me stay off the radio.. It's a simple rule. The dispatcher only needs to know a few things.. That te offender is dead and roll ambulances along with where people need to be.. That's it. Everything else is white noise that doesn't need to be broadcast.

The dispatcher may have been new. We have some new ones this week that you can tell are still learning and that's a tough call for anyone to handle so you can't be to hard on her. Lucky thymes had another one on tap to deal with it. Just remember one thing and it's the only thing in my opinion. Your only job is to make sure the officers that go out on the street with you go home. And bit is their job to make sure you go home. We start together mad leave together. You can always find a job. Maybe not as good but your still be alive for your family. Not a star on the wall at headquarters and I do not want to have to tell someone's family that your loved one is dead because I was afraid to do what had to be done. We only have each other stay fetal but stay alive and God bless those officers and their families

Kim Foxx wins by a huge margin. She is the stooge of Toni Preckwinkle. The same Toni Preckwinkle that said there was a special place in hell for Ronald Reagan for his war on drugs. The same Preckwinkle that said there are too many black and brown people in jail. The same Preckwinkle whose own son has been arrested for battery. Fox will care more about indicting police officers for trumped up bullshit than the murder charge approval rate, or any felony approval rate.

God help us. Who knows what idiot will be "running" this department. Possibly Preckwinkle will be the next mayor, Duckworth the Senator and Madigan the governor.

Do the bare minimum. Protect yourselves and each other. Let these idiots who voted her in figure out that de-policing is detrimental to those they serve.

Sometimes people have to learn the hard way. Unfortunately the media will profit greatly form this.

First, and most important, we are all praying for the physical and mental recovery of the officers involved.
Flesh and bone may heal, but the mind may be scarred forever, for no valid reason. Those of you who are close to the officers, please encourage and demand that they 'talk it out' with a pro.

Second, I listened to the tape ( https://clyp.it/ij3zcfiq ). That dispatcher was totally incompetent. She was told a unit needed an assist. She was clearly given the address at 3715 W Polk three times. She repeated 3751 each time. Finally, she was told 3716 W Polk, and repeated it correctly.

Before anyone says, "could you do better?" Yes, I did. I sat in the chair in the early '70s as a Cadet in the CCR.
I'll admit I never dispatched during a PO shot, but I handled many emergency situations. My training was, "listen, take a deep breath, listen and repeat what you're told. Push the supervisor button, listen, repeat what you're told." If anyone says Cadets never dispatched, Cadets only answered the phone, they never worked 1st watch in CCR.

If the dirtbag offender would have survived, our newly elected Kim Foxx would have dismissed the charges. She will further Preckwinkle's agenda along with Dart. It's a sad state of affairs, mainly due to the ignorance and stupidity of Cook County residents as well as the voting non-contributors and criminals. Chicago will definitely be heading in a dangerous direction. Criminals will victimize with impunity thanks to the current and newly elected regime. Never mind who gets the Superintendent spot, all residents will get the department they wanted. I can only hope that coppers and decent people stay safe, but I'm not being reassured unfortunately.

They were the BEST, and they even came to the watch parties. Epic watch parties.
We'd pick up the zone phone and take a half dozen jobs at a time, write them on missle cards, then go knock those jobs out, come in with a pinch, and do it all over again.
Good times.

Clean the shit out of your ears. The figure quoted at the meeting was 179 million. No that will not last a year. It's a little more than three months of checks. The city has to 31 Dec to make all of it's payments.

But you right on one account. Maggie Daley park was a F@cking waste of money when the city can't buy radios that work, batteries, keep PDTs functional, real training not the shit on computer.

Hope this is not true. 500 million which the city is obligated to is alot of money and would help the pension immediately. Even if a casino was approved, what would it take years to build and get operational, then how many years to show a profit. YThis would be a terrible idea/
